CLIQUE IN IS EXCITED ABOUT HELPING THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF CAMDEN COUNTY PREVENT VIOLENCE AND BULLYING!
Boys & Girls Clubs are opened in communities where children are most in need, and they offer them a chance to achieve academic success and learn to become good citizens of the world who lead healthy and fulfilling lives. With the belief that every child should be surrounded by caring adults that provide encouragement and support after school, Boys & Girls Clubs provide access to homework help, a safe place to play, and so much more.
The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County, referred to here as BGCCC, is a safe place for youth ages 6-18 to go after-school and Saturdays, and offers programs and services designed to build character and strengthen life skills for nearly 2,000 children and teens.
Clique In shares BGCCC’s goal of providing a safe place for children to thrive, and we are very pleased to help them in their bullying and violence prevention efforts.
With the help of a grant from PSE&G, Clique In aided BGCCC provide a positive behavior support anti-bullying curriculum to nearly 2000 students attending the two Clubs in Camden City. So far during the 2013-2014 school year, all students took a pledge to stop bullying and Club Members participated in an informal session on positive behavior from a Detective with the Camden County Police Department. They are also continually participating in positive support based curriculum designed to strengthen their character and prevent bullying and violence.
BGCCC’s continuing character development and ongoing positive support for all students is consistent with Clique In’s central philosophy in bullying and violence prevention. We are proud to be a part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of their students.
